Boarding Frequently Asked Questions

North Harwich, MA | Serving Cape Cod since 1983

  • We require your dog to be vaccinated against rabies, parvo/distemper, bordetella (kennel cough), and canine influenza. Your dog must receive the bordetella vaccination at least one week prior to boarding, so the vaccine has time to take effect before entering the kennel. If your dog is approaching the expiration date for the bordetella vaccine, we recommend a booster before boarding. Please send us your requested dates, email a copy of required vaccinations and we will call you back to confirm within 24 hours.

  • We require your cat to be vaccinated for rabies, distemper, and feline leukemia.

  • Monday through Saturday: 10:00 am- 3:00 pm
    Sunday: 9:00 am–11:00 am only

  • You can pick up your pet during office hours (8:00 am–5:00 pm Monday through Saturday, or 9:00 am –11:00 am Sunday).

Picking up by 11:00am ensures you are not charged for that day. If your pet receives a bath or groom on pick-up day, clients are not charged for that day, regardless of pick-up time.

    • Morning: Pets are fed per your instructions, then individual sleeping areas are sanitized. Dogs are rotated through our play yards while we clean.

    • Midday: Dogs can go in and out of their sleeping areas and attached runs at will.

    • Afternoon: Dogs are exercised again, then fed around 3pm.

  • Dogs have 24/7 access to water at the kennel. Some drink less while boarding and make up for it at home. Please monitor water intake, as drinking too quickly may cause vomiting.

    • Food: Welcome, especially for special diets. Bring only what’s needed, preferably in pre-portioned containers. We provide EnTrust® pet food for dogs and cats.
